A perfect storm emerges when numerous factors combine simultaneously. Merriam-Webster defines a “perfect storm” as “a critical or disastrous situation created by a powerful concurrence of factors.”
For some of us, this may have been a combination of childhood trauma, shock trauma, concussions, ongoing poor nutrition or chronic emotional stress, addiction and mold or chemical exposures. When combined with an acute illness, allergic or medication reaction, a virus, a relationship change, a significant world event, vigorous breathwork, non-trauma-informed meditation, plant medicine, or religious/spiritual ceremony, we can find ourselves stuck in a high state of anxiety/fear, chronic illness, insomnia or plagued by total shutdown and other mysterious symptoms and sensations.
This state is now commonly referred to as nervous system dysregulation or limbic system impairment, and there is now hope and proven ways to come back into regulation, reclaim your life and perhaps even build something better.
The first step involves working with a comprehensive nervous system program. Education, belief, community, and daily practices form the essential foundations required to rebuild and grow from. I currently recommend the Primal Trust Program, which was foundational in my recovery.
Implementing a new practice effectively can be challenging and overwhelming, especially when coping with 24/7 symptoms that limit our abilities. In our one-on-one coaching sessions, we work through questions, daily structure, and resistance. We also engage in somatic and mindfulness practices to ensure continued progress.
As we navigate through increasing regulation and seek to embrace life more fully, we aim to adopt a fresh approach to life. Embodied Mindfulness Drop-In sessions are open to anyone seeking to cultivate greater presence and reduce stress in their daily lives. Each session commences with a teaching, followed by a practice session and concludes with a Q&A session
One of the greatest challenges in any recovery journey is fear, and many people get stuck in it as they work their program. In my own journey, I discovered a map to befriend and integrate fear, which led me to a freedom and depth of recovery beyond my expectations. The "Befriending Fear" and "Befriending Emotions" workshops are essential additions to any nervous system program.
My evolving story has become a testament to the healing power of self-discovery. Raised in an environment of violence, chaos and uncertainty, my early life shaped me into an independent seeker, navigating the extremes of suffering and finding solace in activism, nature and spiritual concepts.
Despite building a successful career in the Natural and Organic Foods industry, my external accomplishments left me disconnected and unsatisfied. A period of burnout and breakdown eventually led to a miraculous recovery, utilizing practices like Self-Directed Neuroplasticity, Nervous System Regulation, and Inquiry to heal from a myriad of chronic illnesses.
In the depths of despair, I awakened to the nature of the mind and my true self, experiencing a profound shift that transcended the limitations of thoughts and body. This revelation, coupled with the gift of recovery, brought me to a place of deep respect and understanding of my connection to nature and the incredible experience of life.
Now, as the co-owner of a thriving consulting business, a mindfulness teacher and mentor, and the co-founder and CEO of Drink Ramp—a line of natural wellness products—I balance my time between passions, family, business, giving back to my community and scheduled rest. Embracing the ongoing messiness of being human, I nurture the gift of stillness through daily movement, inquiry, and mindfulness practices, discovering that I have always possessed exactly what I need at any given moment.

This Nervous System Regulation and Transformation program provided a map to recovery in 2021. I became a community mentor and teacher alongside Dr. Cathleen King from 2022-2024.
An accredited program which included neuroscience / trauma-informed coaching, mentorship skills and the framework for successful transformation and ethics in practice.
I attended my first Metta workshop at 16 and had a sporadic practice for decades. In 2020, I started to sit daily, began attending retreats and am now part of the 2025 Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. This three-year program includes a deep dive into trauma-informed practices.
In addition to my ongoing somatic exploration work. I am certified in all three levels of Somatic Parts Work through a program taught by Frances D Booth. Somatic Parts Work practices give you a felt connection to your core self, helping to heal and integrate mind and body. This integration can lead to an increased sense of wholeness and compassion for yourself and others.
Heart-brain coherence tools were transformational for me. This certification program taught the framework to help clients implement a few minutes of daily coherence practice. A daily practice has been proven to reduce and prevent many of the negative effects of stress, such as scattered thoughts, feeling overwhelmed, emotional distortion, fatigue, exhaustion, sleep disruption, anxiety and burnout.
Though I see myself as practical and grounded, I've been fascinated by the great mystery and consciousness since I was young. I've had multiple awakening experiences and premonitory dreams, the first one when I was just 6 years old. I'm a (non-practicing) Reiki master in three traditions - Usui, Tera Mai, and Karuna - with over 25 years of experience. I've also completed six years of traditional Shamanic Apprenticeship, Initiation, and Ceremony under two lineages. Currently, I consider nature as my greatest teacher, and I spend as much time as possible outdoors. Additionally, I'm studying Family/Systemic Constellations and their connection to CPTSD and Chronic Illness.
I am not a therapist or a substitute for a qualified trauma therapist. An attuned therapist is an essential part of trauma recovery. I am a mentor and educator who can work with you alongside your therapist or program to provide nervous system regulation tools, hope, support and guidance based on my certifications and personal experience.
Using the framework of your chosen Nervous System Regulation or Neuroplasticity/Brain Retraining program, we lean into guided experiential work together. I introduce tools, alchemical processes and offer my own map of transformation as a mirror for your inner work. I hold space, compassion and regulation as you inquire into your fears. My intention is to empower you to uncover the regulation in your system.
Together we set and adjust a daily schedule to meet your goals. This plan will include daily self-directed neuroplasticity visualization, vagal toning tools, somatic practices, relaxation techniques, movement, joy and pleasure!
My business is located on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, the Wendat, and the Haudenosaunee. The territory is within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe and allied nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Today, the meeting place of Toronto (also known as Tkaronto) is home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, and I am grateful to work on this land.
